1. Who we are
Nolvi ("Nolvi", "we", "us") provides the Nolvi mobile application for iOS and Android. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at support@nolviapp.com.
2. Information we collect
We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the app.
- Account information. Your email address, and an optional display name and avatar you choose.
- Financial data you add. The transactions, subscriptions, categories, payment-method labels, savings goals, and currency preferences you enter. Nolvi does not connect to your bank or aggregate your accounts — every entry is added by you, or by the optional capture tools described below.
- Purchase information. If you subscribe to Nolvi Pro, your purchase is processed by the app store and our payments provider; we receive your subscription status, not your card details.
- Technical data. Basic information needed to keep your session secure and the app working. We do not embed third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.
3. How we use your information
- To provide, sync, and back up your data across app launches.
- To schedule the reminders and summaries you enable (on your device).
- To process and restore your Nolvi Pro purchases.
- To respond to support requests and keep the service secure.
4. On-device and limited processing
Several features are designed specifically to keep your data private:
- Bank-SMS capture is on-device. Parsing of a bank text happens entirely on your phone. Nolvi never reads your messages — the optional automation you set up forwards a single received text, which is parsed locally and turned into a draft entry.
- AI capture is for extraction only. When you scan a receipt or use voice entry, the media is sent through our secure server function to a third-party AI model purely to extract fields (amount, title, date). It is not used to train models, the result is returned to you to review, and nothing is saved automatically. The AI provider key stays on our server and is never exposed to the app.
- Notifications are local. All reminders are scheduled on your device. We run no push server and store no device push tokens.
5. How your data is stored and secured
Your data is stored with our cloud database provider and protected by per-user row-level security, so only your authenticated account can read or write your records. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Avatars are kept in a private, owner-scoped storage bucket. The app is also offline-first: a local cache lets you work without a connection, and your edits sync securely when you reconnect.
6. Third-party services
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate Nolvi. Each receives only what it needs:
- Cloud database, authentication & storage — to host your account and data securely.
- App Store, Google Play & our payments provider — to process and validate subscriptions.
- AI provider — only when you use receipt or voice capture, and only to extract fields from that single item.
- Exchange-rate and brand-logo services — to convert currencies and show subscription logos. These receive only non-personal lookups (a currency pair or a brand name), never your financial records.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising.
7. Your rights and choices
- View and edit all of your data directly in the app.
- Export your full transaction ledger to CSV (Nolvi Pro).
- Delete your account from Settings at any time — this permanently removes your data, including any stored avatar.
- Turn notifications on or off per type, in Settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as access, correction, or portability). Contact us to exercise them.
8. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your records are removed from our systems.
9. Children's privacy
Nolvi is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. International users
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where it is, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, highlighted in the app.
